Welcome to our creating rocks and water series. With this series (over 10) videos David will show you some creative ways to freehand rock and water effects in your painting. Start with some basic 3 plane techniques shown in this video, followed by a smaller 14 X 18 painting where he will show you how to paint some dynamic effects in just a little over 2 hours. The video is filmed at a slower painting speed so you can see and study the techniques. David will show you his "negative water" technique used to create some gentle movement in the water, along with some painting knife and brush techniques used to create dimensional rocks. Begin your educational journey, using these techniques to add more interest to your paintings!
