Join David as we introduce this modern version of our popular Tapestry technique.  David will show you how to paint these beautiful flowers with just 6 colors and a couple of brushes.  The flowers use the older French Au Premier Coup technique to paint the new vignette look.  Very fast and fun painting.  You will never look at painting flowers the same way again. 

This year I have been creating many "fusion" techniques, where I take older techniques and update them to more modern media. Artists have been doing this for hundreds of years. This painting is an updated version of the French Tapestry or Aubson style. I use a French Au Premier Coup painting technique to preserve the white and give the characteristic storke look to the flowers.. I then finished with the strokes of Au Premier Coup. Painted very fast and only used 6 colors. Great Technique!
